You’ve got to be one of the more entertaining kids on the team. In your opinion, who is the funniest player and why?

I would have to say ME because my teammates look to me to keep them loose. I have a way of getting people to relax. I like to play jokes on my teammates and coaches.

 

My favorite baseball memory was watching the Boston Red Sox beat the New York Yankees four straight games in the 2004 American League Championship series after being down 3 games to none. It was real exciting watching the underdog beat the heavy favorite.

 

Matt helps me with my pitching and hitting. He doesn’t really give me a hard time even though I’m on the West Ranch freshmen baseball team and he’s on the Hart varsity baseball team. He even lets me hang out with all of his friends. However, my brother is very jealous of all the great apparel I have for our baseball team. We’re styling!

 

I would rather be playing baseball in the park because I feel the more I practice, the better I will get. I like pitching to my dad in the park. He also hits me fly balls.

 

My favorite athlete is Adrian Beltre. He is my favorite because I saw that he worked really hard to improve over the years. He is an awesome defensive 3B and can go yard in the clutch. Too bad he had his best year in the final year of his contract with the Dodgers and priced himself out of L.A.

 

I like to listen to U2, Usher and anything else Hip Hop. My mom hates when I get in the car and turn on something other than her country music.

 

Nobody knows that I’m allergic to Rattlesnakes.

 

No it isn’t tough having Coach Priske for three periods and baseball. He is a great guy. He motivates me to do better in school and on the field. I admire Coach Priske for his patience and dedication. I think it’s a bonus to have him as my teacher and coach.

 

I have enjoyed being a part of a high school sport’s team like my brother and sister. We have something in common. I have learned so much about the game of baseball from Coach Burrill. I also have learned what it means to be a team player. I really got hooked on the West Ranch program during the summer. I just love all my coaches’ even SMOCKERS, and all the players on the team that have accepted me. It means the world to me to tell people that I play for West Ranch. I am proud to wear my WR gear around the SCV. I am looking forward to four years as a West Ranch player. GO WILDCATS!
