Brett Bradbury
Current West Ranch Player

You are one of the hardest working players on the field and an absolute pleasure to coach, but you are very soft spoken. Is there a more outgoing side to Brett that the coaches haven’t seen?
Not really. Overall I am a quiet, hard-working guy that keeps to himself. I might break out of my shell though because everyday Andrew Reed pushes me to speak a little more.
What is the best moment you’ve ever had on the baseball field?
My best moment on the baseball field was when I was on the Tournament team in Mustang. I scored the winning run which led us to Regionals.
During trivia time you seem to do really well on the baseball questions. Do you spend a lot of time watching and playing baseball or would you rather watch television and play video games?
It is a little bit of both. I do watch a lot of baseball but I do get a lot of knowledge from videogames. Some baseball video games is where I get most of the things I know about players, coaches, and teams.
What is your favorite movie and what did you like about it?
My favorite movie is Dumb and Dumber. It is definitely the funniest movie I have ever seen.
What was the most embarrassing moment you’ve ever experienced?
My most embarrassing moment was when I was in the airport and I started walking the opposite direction of the rotating doors. Because I was going the opposite direction, the doors stopped and an alarm went off. Everyone panicked and security was on their way to see what was happening. It was humiliating.
I understand your little brother isn’t interested in baseball but loves football. Are you a supportive older brother or do you prefer to give him a beat down when no one is paying attention?
I support him sometimes, but most of the time I give him a hard beating. But it gets harder and harder everyday because he gets bigger and bigger. He is my height now and weighs 25 more pounds than me! It can also get scary because he has a huge afro. But I still win all of the battles because if I didn't it would be sad that my 12 year old brother is giving me a beating I would never forget.
If you could take any girl on the planet to the Homecoming Dance who would you choose?
If I could take any girl on the planet to the Homecoming Dance I would take Anna Kournikova. (Editor’s note: Thada Keed!)
How is high school treating you so far and what would you change about West Ranch if you could?
High school has been awesome. I have great teachers and great baseball coaches. I would rather go here than Hart or Valencia any day. Also I have met a lot of new friends here at West Ranch .
After watching the 2004 World Series, do you believe in curses?
I never did believe in curses. People just say it is a curse because they haven't won a world series in 86 years but its all in the players and fans minds.
Did you have any idea that a Freshmen baseball team would work so hard in practice?
I knew we would work hard in Freshmen baseball but I didn't imagine it being this tough. Everyday after the conditioning my body is sore and all I want to do is to fall on the ground and start sleeping.
Tell us something about you that nobody knows.
Nobody knows that I have asthma and I am allergic to cats and dogs.
What do you hope to accomplish in your 4 years at West Ranch?
What I hope to accomplish in 4 years at West Ranch is that I get good enough grades so I can go to a great college like UCLA. I also hope to become an awesome baseball player and play for the UCLA Bruins.
