  1. What is your favorite baseball memory?

Out of all the baseball I have played, my favorite moment was when I threw a perfect game against Canyon.

  1. In your opinion, what is the best thing about high school baseball?

Being able to compete against great teams and being able to take the field with some of your best buddies.

  1. Congratulations on winning the Foothill League title last season. You started your career at the Freshman level by winning League and finished your career winning League. Describe what it meant to you personally to win the Foothill.

It was great winning league as a freshman, but to win league on varsity is a whole different feeling. Being able to say you’re the best in your league is something I won’t forget. SWEEPING our two rival teams was exactly how I wanted to end my year at Saugus, and that’s exactly what we did.

  1. What advice would you give to a high school student athlete that wanted to play baseball at a higher level?

Never give up and always leave everything on the field. You never want to leave asking yourself what if. If you do those things, it will be easy for you to play at the next level.

  1. If you could have a concert in your backyard, what three bands would you have playing?

Jack Johnson because he’s the man…..ACDC because there needs to be some age….and 50 Cent because he’s just gangsta

  1. You had the opportunity to play ball with some of your best friends for four years; guys like Travis Babin, Chris Pate, Gary Finley, Brandon Marcia, Daniel Hughes and many others. How much fun was it to go to battle with those guys day in and day out?

It was probably the most memorable part of my life so far. Being able to share the same interest with my best friends was fun and I always had a great time. Sharing the league title with my best buddies was an incredible experience and I will never forget that for as long as I live.

  1. You will be attending USC this year and playing for the most storied collegiate baseball program in the nation. How excited are you to get started at the next level?

I am definitely looking forward to playing at USC.  I know what I need to do to be able to compete at this level and I will do my job to make sure that happens.

  1. Tell us something about you that nobody knows.

Well, I don’t have anything that nobody knows, but some of my friends will know this. I can be a real chatter box. I mean I start talking and I will not stop. Most people say that I am the quiet type, but little do they know.

  1. If you could attend any sporting event in the world, what would you choose?

Definitely a USC football game--no one can seem to beat them and I stand behind my school!!! USC FIGHT ON!!!

  1. One of my favorite memories of our time together at Saugus was the day you absolutely carved up Valencia and ended their hopes of an undefeated league campaign. What are your memories of that game?

I had a little different mentality going into that game then the previous time I faced them. I went out there telling myself I am going to pitch my game and if I end up losing then hats off to them. I was going to make them beat me and I was not going to beat myself. Also being able to say that I faced off with one of the best pitchers in that division and beat him is an incredible accomplishment and something that I think made me a better baseball player.
